SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a vehicle system for tracking and reporting a cost associated with a specific journey target. Proposed system comprises vehicle HMI (human machine interface), vehicle processor connected with HMI. Processor is programmed to store in permanent memory of travel information for multiple trips, including the cost of fuel for operation, in response to the entry of the journey target from the HMI using the fuel queue model based on the at least two fuel prices and corresponding amounts of fuel, and outputting the trip information, including fuel cost, in response to request from HMI. Disclosed also is a method of tracking and reporting expense associated with the purpose of travel, and a central processing unit (CPU) of the vehicle.
