FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal treatment of welded rail joints and can be used in railway transport. Device for processing of welded rail joint comprises mounting clamping and centering unit to grip rail head. Gripping element detachably captures rail head. Heating and cooling device is connected with mounting and clamping centering unit and is arranged above rail head. Heating and cooling device contains heating element for heating of changed structure of welded rail joint zone and cooling element for said zone.
EFFECT: possibility to improve obtained microstructure of welded rail joint and rails close to it.
