FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for introducing objects into a continuous flow of material comprises a reservoir to store a range of objects; a rotatable transfer wheel to transport objects to an insertion unit for introducing objects into the continuous flow of material; a transfer chamber arranged between the reservoir and the rotatable transfer wheel. Return member reverses the direction of movement of the objects in the transfer chamber. Return member has a drop-like shape comprising a peak, two straight flanks and a curved portion connecting the straight flanks. Peak faces towards the interior of the transfer chamber, so that the flank, facing the peripheral surface of the rotatable transfer wheel, extends essentially tangential to the peripheral surface of the rotatable transfer wheel.
EFFECT: means are provided for generating a circulating movement of objects along the peripheral surface of the rotatable transfer wheel.
