SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a mortar for producing powders by grinding food material, for example tea leaves, coffee beans, and to a beverage preparation device containing the mill. Mortar comprises a first millstone with a first grinding surface including a first groove with a curved shape that extends from the center of rotation side toward the outer circumference, and a second millstone with a second grinding surface including a second groove with a curved shape that extends from the side of the center of rotation towards the outer circumferential periphery. First and second grooves are not aligned with each other when the first and second grinding surfaces are arranged one above the other. First and/or second core further includes a fourth groove with a curved shape that extends from the side of the center of rotation towards the outer circumferential periphery. First and/or second millstone further includes a lateral surface with a cylindrical shape, in the central part of which an inlet is formed through which an object to be ground by abrasion is introduced, and an inlet groove opening on the grinding surface from the side surface. Inlet groove has a terminal end that coincides with the start point of the fourth groove. Beverage preparation device comprises a grinding machine for producing powders by abrasion of food products, a liquid storage tank and a tank for stirring powders and liquids, the grinding machine comprising the above-described mortar.

EFFECT: mortar with the millstones containing curved grooves provides the attrition of food products to the extent necessary for the preparation of beverages.
