SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire retardant agent for cigarette paper, besides, it contains 10-30 wt% of film-forming material, 10-30 wt% filling material and 40-80 wt% solvent, wherein the film-forming material is selected from a group consisting of the following materials: cationic starch, anionic starch, oxidized starch, gum arabic, methylcellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, vinyl alcohol, alginate or mixture of any of said materials, and filling material is selected from a group consisting of the following materials: calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, aluminium hydroxide, talc or a mixture of any of said materials.
EFFECT: provision of self-extinguishing.
