FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data media type identification card based on multilayer polymer films and can be used in making documents, credit cards and identification with colour solution components thereof. Method of recording information in multilayer carrier based on metallized layers which are sensitive to laser radiation involves exposure to laser light color metallised layers based on films of metals extraction areas of different colour characteristics, identification of areas exposed to laser radiation on the data medium in accordance with the colour characteristic of the defined areas, determination of size rastering element and focusing the laser beam in accordance with the size rastering element scanning laser region exposed to laser radiation, recording information engraving metallised layer laser pulses with energy corresponding graduations colour characteristics of the selected region in information field, note here that every rastering element to the depth arrangement color-forming-coated layer by removal of metal material overlying metallized layers within rastering element laser ablation, and the area of the specified colour characteristics of the displayed through rasters turn of each raster in the plane of the corresponding metal-coated layer.
EFFECT: invention provides higher information value and degree of protection of documents.
