FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method for recording and reading information on colorless transparent polymer films, including the application of information symbols and images on a biaxially oriented polypropylene film with a thickness of 20-100 microns by local thermal action under pressure with a stamp, heated liquid or laser beam for 0.1÷10 s at a temperature of 80÷150°C, and the information is read in transmitted light between the polarizer and the analyzer is in a perpendicular crossed position when placing the film with information symbols at an angle of 35-55° to the polarization axes.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of solutions for recording and reading information on colorless transparent polymer films.
