FIELD: motor industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems providing passive safety of pedestrians and road users moving on two-wheeled vehicles during collision thereof with front part of passenger car. Passenger car passive safety system comprises a set of vehicle overload sensors and control unit electrically connected with gas generator actuators and external airbag with grid-shaped recesses to be inflated from under hood to cover car windshield with front pillars and roof front edge. External damping surface of airbag has a flat shape and slope to right side backwards in horizontal plane, gas-filled external airbag on its upper edge has a bead with located on its front side at top along its length flange, front and rear surfaces of which are perpendicular to vehicle longitudinal axis, and top and bottom surfaces of said flange are parallel to external damping surface of airbag.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection due to counteracting movement of pedestrian after collision back through roof of automobile under behind moving vehicle.
