FIELD: motor industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, in particular, to system for providing passive safety of pedestrians and road users moving on two-wheeled vehicles, during collision with front part of passenger car. Passenger car passive safety system comprises a set of vehicle overload sensors and control unit electrically connected with gas generator actuators and external air cushion with mesh-shaped recesses which are inflated from under hood to cover car windshield with front pillars and roof front edge. Outer damping surface of air cushion has a flat shape and inclination to right side backwards in horizontal plane. Gas-filled external safety airbag along upper edge has a bead with a flange located on its front side at top along its length, front surface of which is perpendicular to longitudinal axis of car, and rear surface of said bead has inclination backwards and downwards in vertical plane, and top and bottom surface of said flange are parallel to outer damping surface of airbag.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection.
