SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymers containing functional terminal groups. Polymer, which is functionalised by terminal groups, represents diene polymer or diene copolymer obtained by copolymerisation of dienes with vinyl aromatic monomers. At end chain has silane-containing carbinol group of formula (I) wherein R¹, R², R³, R⁴ are identical or different and denote H or alkyl, which may contain heteroatoms from group O and N. A denotes divalent organic residue, which together with C and H may contain heteroatoms, such as O and N.

EFFECT: invention increases reaction-capacity of silanes, reduces viscosity of rubber during processing and storage and improves dispersion of filler.
