FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire extinguishing means for vast areas of range fire. Method for rapid explosive fire extinguishing consists in using a catapult for delivery of a container filled with dispersed fire-extinguishing substance mixed with dispersed explosive substance. In body of container there is a groove for receiving a thermal fuse detonator, impact head of which is fixed in initial condition by means of consumable thread. Settlements adjoining velds are equipped with a set of containers. Fuse-detonator is inserted into container groove. Container is inserted in catapult and thrown into selected zone of range fire. Consumable thread of thermal fuse detonator is melted, when impact head is released, which acts on capsule, thermal fuse-detonator explodes. Thermal fuse-detonator detonates dispersed explosive substance located in container. As a result, it explodes and explosive wave puts out flames. Fire-extinguishing substance is deposited on incandescent objects of burning zone, which enables removal of heat therefrom.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of fire extinguishing of vast range fires.
