FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controllers for protection of fibre-optic lines (FOL) from attempts to tap an optical signal and can be used as a universal technical protection means (TDPM) for limited access to data transmitted over an uncontrolled territory. For this controller for protection of fibre-optic lines comprises an optical transmitter and a switch, series-connected alarm device and controller, output of which is connected to input of optical switch, optical output of which is output of device in fibre-optic line, series-connected photodiode and a logarithmic amplifier, as well as optical insulator, output demultiplexer and input multiplexer, input of which is connected to output of optical insulator, input of which is connected to output of optical transmitter, and common input of multiplexer is optical input of device, output of input multiplexer is connected to optical input of optical switch, optical input of output demultiplexer is input of device from fibre-optic line, and output is connected to input of photodiode, output of logarithmic amplifier is connected to input of microcontroller, and second optical output of output demultiplexer is output of device.

EFFECT: technical result is narrowing dynamic range of input signal due to its logarithmation and improving insulation of information and control signals.
