FIELD: space.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering and can be used in designing power and propulsion systems for solving two tasks for delivery of spacecrafts (SC) to orbit and subsequent long-term spacecraft hardware power supply. Space nuclear dual-mode power plant of transport-power module comprises thermal emission reactor-converter (TRP), which includes active zone (AZ) and neutron reflector. AZ is assembled from two groups of power generating assemblies of series-connected power generating elements (EGE) - central and periphery. Central EGS group is assembled with life equal to or more of total operation time consuming mode and energy consumers long-term power supply. In addition, in AZ, in its middle part, there is an average EGS group with uniformly arranged booster with fuel elements (BT). EGE contain equal volume content of fuel material (TM) based on UO2, which does not exceed 60 % in initial state theoretically dense.
EFFECT: technical result is larger supercriticality margin TRP(KEF) with reduction of its weight and dimensions.
