FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel photochemically active polymer materials. Polymer material contains repeating units of formula (I): wherein M1 denotes a monomer link, selected from a group comprising acrylate, methacrylate, 2-chloroacrylate, 2-phenylacrylate, vinyl ether, vinyl ester, styrene, siloxane; ring a is an unsubstituted phenylene, phenylene which is substituted with fluorine, chlorine, cyano group, alkyl or alkoxy group, pyridine-2,5-diiyl, pyrimidine-2,5-diiyl, 1,3-dioxane-2,5-diiyl, cyclohexane-1,4-diiyl, piperidine-1,4-diiyl or piperazine-1,4-diiyl; ring b is an unsubstituted phenylene, phenylene which is substituted with fluorine, chlorine, cyano group, alkyl or alkoxy group, pyridine-2,5-diiyl, pyrimidine-2,5-diiyl, 1,4-naphthylene, 2,6-naphthylene, 1,3-dioxane-2,5-diiyl or cyclohexane-1.4-diiyl; Y1,Y2 all independently denote common covalent bond, -(CH2)t-, -O-, -CO-, -CO-O-, -O-OC-, -NR4-, -CO-NR4-, -R4N-CO-, -(CH2)u-O-, -O-(CH2)u-, -CF2O-, -OCF2-, -(CH2)u-NR4- or-NR4-CH (2)u-, where R4 denotes hydrogen or lower alkyl; t denotes an integer from 1 to 4; u denotes an integer from 1 to 3; m, n all independently are equal to 0 or 1; ring c is an unsubstituted phenylene, phenylene which is substituted with fluorine, chlorine, cyano group, alkyl or alkoxy group , pyrimidine-2,5-diiyl, pyridine-2,5-diiyl, 2,5-thiophenylene, 2,5-furanylene, 1,4-naphthylene or 2,6-naphthylene; S1 denotes a bridge link, wherein if m and n are equal to 0, bridge link is S2, and if at least one m or n equals 1, bridge link is S3; where S2 denotes C4-C24-alkylene and S3denotes C9-C24-alkylene, preferably C10-C24-alkylene, and where alkylene is unsubstituted or substituted with linear or branched chain alkylene, in which one or more-CH2groups can be substituted by at least one bridge, alicyclic or/and an aromatic group, Z denotes -O- or -NR5-, where R5 denotes hydrogen or lower alkyl, or a second group of formula D, where D denotes unsubstituted having a linear chain C1-C20-alkylene group, unsubstituted with branched chain C1-C20-alkylene group having a linear chain C1-C20-alkylene group, substituted with fluorine or chlorine with branched chain C1-C20-alkylene group, substituted with fluorine or chlorine, unsubstituted cycloalkyl residue containing 3 to 8 ring atoms, or cycloalkyl residue containing 3 to 8 ring atoms, substituted with fluorine, chlorine, alkyl or alkoxy group. Invention also discloses a monomer compound, a method of producing polymer compositions, application of polymer material, a method of producing alignment layer for liquid crystals, alignment layers, optical or electro-optical elements.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining novel polymers having photochemical reactivity, that provide good orientation of layers in preparation of optical or electro-optical elements.
