FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cone crusher and a method for preparing a cone crusher for operation. Cone crusher has an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell with a crushing gap formed therebetween. Outer crushing shell is supported on an upper frame member in threaded engagement with a lower frame member. Threaded engagement is configured for adjusting vertical position of outer crushing shell and width of crushing gap. Upper frame member is provided with a circumferential gear ring, which is connected to upper frame member, for turning upper frame member in threaded engagement. Cone crusher includes a clamping arrangement for vertically clamping gear ring between an upper clamping member and a lower clamping member. Method of preparing a cone crusher after adjusting a crushing gap comprises a step of vertically clamping a crushing gap adjustment gear ring.
EFFECT: cone crusher and method of preparing said cone crusher for operation provide adjustment of degree of clamping crushed material.
