FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of controlling jet turbine engine depending on aircraft flight purposes, in particular, to ensure maximum flight duration and range. Method of controlling aircraft jet turbine engine includes control of total fuel flow to afterburner based on measured air temperature at engine inlet and air pressure after compressor, measuring fuel consumption for first and second afterburner collectors while maintaining same total fuel consumption depending on air pressure after compressor and engine inlet air temperature, measuring thrust and determining specific fuel consumption , plotting a curve of specific fuel consumption versus thrust at different ratios of fuel supplied to first and second afterburner collectors, and establishing ratio of fuel supplied to first and second afterburner collectors, providing minimum specific fuel consumption at specified values of thrust.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of engine on forced supersonic mode, haul aircraft modes, as well as longer range and duration of aircraft flight.
