FIELD: weapons and ammunition; firing technique.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technique for firing at moving targets and can be used in systems for detecting and determining flight trajectory of striking targets. Method comprises determining rendezvous point and moment of target and missile, based on target coordinate estimates, forming origin of motion path of missile and missile miss of a vector, linearising projectile trajectory in the vicinity of reference trajectory at angles of aiming, based on which is formed a matrix of partial derivatives of position vector at aiming angles, which satisfies a system of linear homogeneous differential equations; when miss vector length exceeds its maximum permissible threshold value using a matrix of partial derivatives, performing correction of sighting angle of artillery piece and repeating formation of origin of shell trajectory and miss vector, and in absence of miss vector length exceeding its maximum permissible threshold value, shoot at target using last values of aiming angles.

EFFECT: increase in accuracy.
