FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to scalable battery modules having a cooling system or heating system for cooling cells inside battery pack. A scalable battery module comprises a plurality of cell groups comprising a plurality of cells, electrically connected in parallel. Each group of cells includes a negative terminal and a positive terminal; a plurality of framed heatsink assemblies. Each assembly has a heat-conducting surface portion. Each of plurality of framed heatsink assemblies is located between one block of cells of plurality of blocks of cells of each group of cells and an adjacent block of cells of plurality of blocks of cells of each group of cells; and a plurality of jumpers. Each of plurality of jumpers electrically connects negative terminal of one of plurality of groups of cells to positive terminal of adjacent group of cells.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables to increase ambient temperature range in which lithium battery works, ensures maximum possible service life, nominal capacity and nominal rate of charge and discharge.
