FIELD: electric vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: battery for an electric vehicle with a built-in electric heater. The battery contains a plurality of battery cells, a housing, a battery module control circuit, a heater plate. The heater plate is located between the bottom surface of the housing and the battery module. The heater plate maintains thermal contact with the battery module due to the battery module's own load. Between the heater plate and the battery module, a thermal pad made of heat-conducting silicone material with adhesion can be installed. The bottom surface of the housing may have a frame structure to prevent sagging of the heater plate.
EFFECT: increasing of the thermal efficiency of the storage battery in a low-temperature environment.
