FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the means for making protective screens from generated smoke (aerosol) that is produced during the combustion of a functional pyrotechnic stick, and can be used as an agent for the primary fire suppression of fire hazards. Versatile aerosol generator comprises a central initiation assembly containing mechanical and electric igniters, equipped with a shielding flap and installed on the base diaphragm that has within distributed outlets, the base is combined with a screw socket that is arranged coaxially to the output pipe that is equipped with a detachable cover fixed on the housing that holds a functional stick of pyrotechnic composition. Outlet tube has radial smoke exhaust openings that are aligned with through slots in the adjacent rotary shell ring and the diaphragm rests on the flow rate controller made in the form of a disc with coaxial perforation holes, the handle of which is arranged between the igniters.
