FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for diagnosing the presence of Helicobacter pylori infection in the air the patient exhales. For this purpose, the level of ammonia with accompanying organic amines in air of the oral cavity is evaluated in the period of active urea hydrolysis in the range from 1 to 9-minute after reception of urea. Note here that several gas sensors, are used which are selected so that sensitivity of each auxiliary sensor to gas, to which the main sensor is cross-sensitive was higher than the sensitivity of the main sensor to the gas. Main sensor is sensor which is sensitive to ammonia, and auxiliary sensors sensitive to vapours of alcohol and volatile organic compounds. Readings of the main sensor are corrected with due allowance for readings of auxiliary sensors and corrected readings indicate the degree of patient's infection with bacteria Helicobacter pylori. Group of inventions relates to device implementing this method.
EFFECT: inventions group allows to reduce error when measuring concentration of ammonia in exhaled air introduced by impurity gases.
