FIELD: pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: described is method of producing troventol, which consists in oxymethylation of tropine ether of 2-phenyl-butyric acid in dimethylacetamide solution in presence of potassium tert-butylate. Then one performs extraction of by-products with ethyl acetate, or toluene, or heptane, depositing tropine ether of 2-hydroxymethyl-2-phenyl-butyric acid with alkali metal carbonate with subsequent recrystallisation from acetonitrile and quaternization in acetonitrile solution. Further, troventol crystals are separated. Invention provides easy-to-implement and suitable for industrial use method of producing troventol with purity exceeding 99.5 %.
EFFECT: simple method of producing troventol with high purity.
