FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for cutting teeth on workpiece on gear-cutting machines, in particular to gear wheel, by means of shaped milling. Machine is configured for adjusting position of spindle head or end mill and/or workpiece holder. End mill axis may be aligned approximately parallel to processed tooth side surface of clamped workpiece. Cutter is configured for alignment of its axis on outline of lateral surface and has an external outline corresponding to outline of tooth side surface.

EFFECT: higher precision of processing tooth surface, longer service life of cutter.
