FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and is intended to be used in control systems for a synchronous motor with permanent magnets depending on the rotor position without the rotor position sensor structurally connected with the motor. In the method of sensorless determination of the initial position of the rotor of a synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets in order to determine the initial position of the motor rotor its short-time testing start is performed, that is connection of supply voltage, which leads to a small angular movement of the rotor in arbitrary direction; based on measurement of instantaneous values of phase currents and voltages during this movement the rotor position is calculated. Numerical value of the rotor position is used for further working start of the motor with sensorless method of controlling the movement.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification, lower cost and higher reliability.
