FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry, to a method of activating chromium-containing catalysts, which can be used in reactions of gas-phase fluorination of halogenated hydrocarbons. Described is a method of activating a catalyst for producing fluorine-containing hydrocarbons by gas-phase hydrofluorination of halohydrocarbons, containing chromium (III), aluminium compounds, metal compounds selected from a group comprising or iron, or nickel, or cobalt or zinc or magnesium, or any mixture thereof, which includes seven steps: drying catalyst precursor in air flow; catalyst calcination in inert gas flow; catalyst calcination in air flow; calcination of catalyst in gas mixture of hydrogen fluoride and nitrogen; raising temperature; stepwise increase in concentration of hydrogen fluoride in HF-N2 gas mixture; raising temperature to 370-380 °C, stepwise raising of pressure of HF; raising temperature to 370-380 °C and stepwise raising of pressure of HF.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of low-temperature of catalyst activity.
