FIELD: organic synthesis catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to production of catalyst for synthesis of organofluoric compounds (namely pentahaloethanes of general formula C2HClxF5-x wherein x ranges from 0 to 4), in particular for synthesis of trifluorodichloroethane, tetrafluorochloroethane, and pentafluoroethane, or chladones 123, 124, and 125, respectively. Catalyst contains, wt % (converted to metals): iron(III) 0.1-2.0, zinc(II) 0-2.0, chromium(III) 6.5-12.0, and magnesium fluoride - the balance.
