FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water transport and aims at increasing safety of vessel locking. Device for protecting lock gate from berthing impact consists of two assemblies of forming an opposite wave, located in front of the lock gate and connected to the sensor of measuring the speed of a vessel, arranged on wall of lock chamber. Assemblies for forming an opposite wave are rudder propeller mechanisms oriented towards the motion of a vessel, including tubular conical nozzles and screw propellers installed on shafts, driven by drive motors. Assemblies are mounted on movable trolleys with possibility of lifting and lowering into lock chamber below the water level, and the trolleys are mounted on tracks laid along the walls of lock chamber in the area of vessel stop in front of the gate.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of a gradual stop of a vessel and simplified overall process.
