SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Seeds of corn and/or corn plants grown from corn seeds are treated with effective amount of at least one chitooligosaccharide represented by formula:
wherein R1 denotes hydrogen or methyl; R2 denotes hydrogen or methyl; R3 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or carbamoyl; R4 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or carbamoyl; R5 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or carbamoyl; R6 means hydrogen, arabinozil, fucosyl, acetyl, sulphate, 3-O-S-2-O-MeFuc, 2-O-MeFuc and 4-O-AcFuc; R7 means hydrogen, mannozil or glycerine; R8 denotes hydrogen, methyl or-CH2OH; R9 is hydrogen, arabinozil or fucosyl; R10 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or fucosyl; and n equals to 0, 1, 2 or 3. Invention allows to increase crop capacity, number, length, weight, volume of roots and area of foliage.
EFFECT: invention allows to enhance the growth of plants.
