SUBSTANCE: invention refers to agriculture. Composition for enhancing the growth of plants contains a suitable agricultural carrier and chitooligosaccharide (HO), represented by the formula:
, where R1 denotes hydrogen or methyl; R2 denotes hydrogen or methyl; R3 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or carbamoyl; R4 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or carbamoyl; R5 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or carbamoyl; R6 denotes hydrogen, arabinosyl, fucosyl, acetyl, sulphate, 3-0-S-2-0-MeFuc, 2-0-MeFuc and 4-0-AcFuc; R7 denotes hydrogen, mannosyl or glycerine; R8 denotes hydrogen, methyl or -CH2OH; R9 denotes hydrogen, arabinosyl or fucosyl; R10 denotes hydrogen, acetyl or fucosyl; and n is 0, 1, 2 or 3.
EFFECT: mentioned XO is present at a concentration suitable for enhancing growth of plants when the seeds treated with mentioned composition are planted and grown in the soil.
