FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, in particular to devices for stopping bleeding. Device contains source of cold which is brought into thermal contact with region of haemorrhage, consisting of thermoelectric battery fed by source of electric energy, working surface conjugated with heat equalising plate, which surface in contact with object of exposure, has layer of elastic material, which opposite to working surface is brought into thermal contact with heat removal plate made hollow and filled with substance having high fusion heat and melting point, lying within 30-45 °C, fixing device made up of two strips of leather or fabric from one side fixed on sides of heat equalising plate, and on other side having possibility of connection in form of belt. Heat equalising and heat removing plates are interconnected by fasteners made of material with low coefficient of thermal conductivity so that heat equalising, heat removing plate and thermoelectric battery can form rigid structure. Source of electric power is made with possibility to feed thermoelectric battery short-time current pulse of opposite polarity after arrest of hemorrhage.

EFFECT: reduced risk of involved section tissues frostbite.
