FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, in particular to means for arrest of hemorrhage. Device comprises source of cold which is brought into thermal contact with the region of hemorrhage. Source of cold includes a thermoelectric battery, fed by electric power source, working surface conjugated with heat equalising plate, which surface in contact with object of exposure, has a layer of elastic material, which opposite to working surface is brought into thermal contact with heat removal plate. Fixing device is made up of two strips of leather or fabric, at one side fixed on sides of heat equalising plate, and at other side having possibility of connection in form of belt. Heat equalising and heat removing plates are interconnected by fasteners, made of material with low coefficient of thermal conductivity so that heat equalising, heat removing plate and thermoelectric battery can form rigid structure. Source of electric power is made with possibility to feed thermoelectric battery short-time current pulse of opposite polarity after arrest of hemorrhage.
EFFECT: use of device during effect on hemorrhage area enables higher intensity of cooling, thus reducing duration of thrombosis, stopping blood flow.
