SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hinge (1), in particular for furniture, comprising hinge part (2), which can be fixed to a door or a flap and which is held on lateral part (3) in a pivotal manner, via mounting element (30). Hinge also comprises damper (11) with damper housing (12) and piston rod (13) that can be moved relative to damper housing (12). Damper (11) brakes a closing movement of hinge part (2) relative to lateral part (3), and switching element (17) is provided by means of which damper (11) can be deactivated.
EFFECT: user can thus select whether damper is used for respective application.
