FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for improving sleep of companion animal. Method involves combined administration to companion animal element promoting SHL amount of astaxanthin and promoting SHL amount of melatonin or one or more metabolised compounds which can be subjected to metabolism resistance with formation of melatonin. Companion animal is a dog. Said astaxanthin and melatonin are administered after noon, in evening or before regular bedtime of companion animal.
EFFECT: user of invention improves quality of sleep of dogs.
