SUBSTANCE: following is provided: the methods of treating a circadian rhythm sleep disorder and improving one or more sleep parameters in a patient having a genotype selected from the group consisting of the CRY1 genotype with the rs184039278 allele, the CRY1 genotype with the rs780614131 allele, and the PER1 genotype with the rs112474322 allele. The methods include administering of an effective amount of tasimelteon to the said patient.
