FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering. Disclosed metamaterial is characterised by that a dielectric board of a cell is three-layered, in its central layer there are slot lines, uniformly distributed along whole length of microstrip meander line and oriented parallel to its width, having length of not less than width of meander line, board is equipped with a metal screen, located on its lower side, wherein slot lines are separated from microstrip meander line and from screen by dielectric layers.
EFFECT: creation of frequency-selective surface, which provides suppression of electromagnetic wave propagating along it in relative frequency band to one octave.
