FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building and can be used in construction and modernisation of ship hulls. Disclosed is a bulwark, which is installed at third part of length of ship at fore end and is made of separate sections, including outer wall and abutments hinged on deck. Each abutment is rigidly connected with driven gear, mechanically engaged with installed under deck a motor to rotate and fix abutment in a vertical position onboard ship.
EFFECT: use of invention reduces hydrodynamic force acting on ship deck, and reduces probability of ship fore being covered by a wave, which provides higher navigation safety.
