FIELD: vessels and other watercrafts.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, in particular to methods of controlling stability of a ship under operating conditions, and can be used in designing navigation expert systems for controlling stability of a ship at oncoming rough sea in conditions of wave capture by nose end. Method of vessel stability control is carried out based on wave parameters measurement data and their prediction. Ship dynamics are simulated in conditions of predicted disturbance taking into account possibility of wave capture of fore end at counter disturbance. Loads acting on nasal extremity at its flow around by dipping into wave are determined, transverse metacentric height is determined and a static stability diagram is plotted under gripping conditions, which are compared to standard requirements.

EFFECT: control of ship stability forecasting is provided in conditions of nasal tip wave capture, which increases navigation safety.
