FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to handling equipment, in particular to grippers for lifting and transportation of cylindrical loads, mainly gas cylinders. Front-end tool comprises levers with tail parts, a shackle, a mechanism for closing and opening the levers, all having a common axis of rotation. Closing and opening mechanism is made as a tightening screw having sections on opposite ends with right and left thread respectively, which are in contact with mating nuts mounted through a hinged connection on tail parts of the levers. Screw is equipped with a movable handle, and the shackle is attached through trunnions directly to the levers. At one end of the screw there is a shaped shank with the ability of its connection to a detachable coupling handle. On the levers axis of rotation there are rigidly adjustable depth limiters on a cylindrical load made as two eccentric washers, and the axis has a turn stopper.

EFFECT: simplified design and expansion of functional capabilities are achieved.
