SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Image decoding device comprises entropy decoder, which extracts from a bit stream information which indicates the intra-frame prediction mode applied to the current block, which must be decoded; a module for determining reference pixels, which defines one of the neighbouring pixels adjacent to the current unit, and filtered adjacent pixels, filtered from the said adjacent pixels as reference pixels based on at least one of the size of the current block and intra-frame prediction mode of the current block; module performing intra-frame prediction which performs intraframe prediction with respect to current block using the extracted information and said defined reference pixels, wherein the image is divided into a variety of maximum coding units according to information on the maximum size of coding unit, with respect to the maximum coding unit the hierarchical decomposition to one or more encoding units with depths in accordance with information splitting is made.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of decoding.
