SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Image decoding method, comprising extracting information from a bit stream, said information displaying intra-frame prediction mode applied to a current block, which must be decoded; determining some of initial adjacent pixels adjacent to current block, and filtered adjacent pixels as reference pixels based on at least one of size of current block and intra-frame prediction mode of current block; performing intra-frame prediction with respect to current block using extracted information and determined reference pixels from initial adjacent pixels and filtered adjacent pixels, wherein, when current block has a size N×N, where N is an integer, adjacent pixels include 2N neighbouring pixels, adjacent to upper side and upper right side of current block and 2N neighbouring pixels adjacent to left side and lower left side of current block, extreme filtered adjacent pixels located on end of upper right side of current block and lower left side of current block from filtered adjacent pixels have values of initial adjacent pixel without filtration.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of decoding.
