FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rockets and controlled artillery projectiles with laser semi-active homing heads, with acquisition of illuminated target at final path. Firing method with controlled artillery projectile with laser semi-active homing head in telemetry implement, including detection of target by target designator, measurement of distance from target designator to target, topographic referencing target designator and fire position to area, performing calculation of firing settings, round and illumination of target after firing. Equipment is added with second additional target designator, wherein illumination frequency is set different from working frequency, introduced before shot in homing head, wherein actuation of second target indicator is defined as ton2= ton-tc, where ton is estimated time of activation of main target designator, tc is duration of illumination cycle.
EFFECT: technical result is determination of maximum target capture range by homing head during firing tests of missiles and artillery projectiles with laser semi-active homing heads in telemetry design.
