FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to determination of weight ratio of acetaldehyde extracted in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or its composites. Method of determining the weight ratio of acetaldehyde in PET or its composites includes sealing a sample in glass ampoules with the diameter of 5-6 mm in the air or by vacuum treatment, placing the ampoules in a thermostat at the temperature of 120±2 °C and its exposure during 2 hours, subsequent placement of the ampoules into a thermostated cell with a striking mechanism blown with an inert gas and heated to the temperature of 20-80 °C, with subsequent opening of the ampoules with the help of the striking mechanism and estimation of acetaldehyde content by gas chromatography method. Also presented is a device for determining the weight ratio of acetaldehyde in PET or its composites.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and reliability of analysis is achieved.
