FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing a massive catalyst for hydroprocessing petroleum fractions based on coarse commercial molybdenum disulphide powder, where coarse commercial molybdenum disulphide powder is ground to sizes of 12–55 nm under conditions of mechanical activation in liquid argon medium for 8 hours.
EFFECT: simple process technology; improved ecological level of its implementation; high chemical stability of the catalyst obtained by the disclosed method for degradation when reacting with environmental components on its surface for a long time without forming strongly acidic components.
