SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts, systems and methods for treating exhaust gases. Dual function catalytic filter comprises a soot filter with an inlet and an outlet, a soot oxidation layer on inlet, which comprises catalytic component consisting essentially of a transition metal selected from W, Cr, Ce, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and combinations thereof, dispersed on a cerium and zirconium mixed and/or composite oxide, and an SCR zone in form of a coating at outlet, which includes an SCR catalytic component. System for treating NOx in exhaust gases of burning a lean fuel mixture includes a nitrogenous reducing agent injector and a dual function catalytic filter.
EFFECT: invention provides effective treatment of exhaust gases, reduced dimensions and low cost of system for treating exhaust gases.
