FIELD: chemistry; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for gluing chemically modified rubber to metal by cold hardening adhesive composition based on polymers and can be used in rubber industry, particularly for making water-resistant rubber-metal articles. Method consists in degreasing and chemical modification of rubber surface before gluing. Rubber is degreased by means of a mixture of ethyl acetate and nefras. Chemical modification of rubber is carried out in a swollen state by means of dichloramine dissolved in a mixture of polar and non-polar organic solvents.
EFFECT: providing higher strength of metal-rubber bonding based on non-polar rubber in glued water-resistant rubber-metal articles operated at high pressure.
