FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing natural hydrocarbon gas with variable nitrogen content, which comprises a preparing gas for cryogenic separation, cryogenic gas separation using methane as a coolant in a cryogenic unit, compression of inner and outer process products, fractionation of a heavy hydrocarbon part of natural gas (C2 and more). Method is characterized by the fact that while reducing nitrogen content below design values at the stage of cryogenic gas separation, there is excess refrigerating power, that enables to obtain liquefied methane at this stage, fractionation of a heavy hydrocarbon part is added with a process of LHLD separation into propane, butane and pentane-hexane fractions, cryogenic gas separation is added with fine purification process and helium liquefaction process with producing commercial liquid helium.
EFFECT: using the presented method provides extending the range of manufactured products by producing an additional product - liquefied natural gas (methane), as well as a row of hydrocarbons and liquid helium fractions.
