FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: automatic monitoring and control of water supply is carried out using microprocessor unit, level sensors in a drinking water reservoir (h), pressure in backbone network, water consumption by consumers (Qu), water pressure at outlet of pump stations (Ph) and at managing point (Pdt), actuating mechanisms. At onset of day electricity tariff, subroutine depending on performance of pumps and water consumption by consumers calculates minimum value Pdt and h of water, compares said values with readings of sensors and at equal or less values transmits a command to actuating mechanisms to feed water into water storage tank. At onset of night zone electricity tariff, subroutine for controlling water reserves analyses water consumption and based on consumption of water by consumers at end of night zone transmits a signal to actuating mechanisms and then to pumps for complete filling of water storage tanks.
EFFECT: providing uninterrupted water supply and reduction of electric power costs.
