FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: cold (hot) water consumption meter with an adaptive system of automatic control comprises a body with an impeller and magnets, a metering mechanism, a sensor for remote transmission of readings and a sealing element. According to the invention, the meter comprises a unit of control over water consumption and a sensor of water leakage on the basis of closure of electric contacts located in the lowest or another place of the room, where there is the highest probability of leaking of water as a result of an accident, a unit of automatic disconnection of water supply and power, a unit of information support to a consumer, a water supplier, a power supplier, EMERCOM, an emergency power supply unit.

EFFECT: increased security of water consumption at home and at production, information exchange with a water supplier on issues of service provision and its payment, disconnection of water supply in case of emergency and in case of untimely payment of the provided service by the consumer.
