Power transfer device includes a plurality of gears in a housing within which plurality of gears rotate. Plurality of gears includes a first gear and a second gear, first gear meshing with second gear. Housing has a lubrication passage. Housing also has a lubrication slot and/or a spray nozzle in fluid communication with lubrication passage. Lubrication slot and/or spray nozzle direct fluid flowing therethrough toward where first gear and second gear mesh.
