FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to articles having heat-stable microstructured coating and can be used for making cookware such as pans, pots, sauté pans, barbecue grills, as well as soles, irons, or hair straightening plates. Heating article comprises a substrate having two opposite faces, and heat-stable coating. Heat-stable coating comprises at least one base layer, comprising at least one heat-stable binder. Base layer is disposed on one of the faces of the substrate. Heat-stable coating also comprises a microstructured surface layer, comprising a heat-stable binder of same chemical nature as that of the base layer. Microstructured layer partly or fully covers the base layer and is sintered integrally to it. Microstructured surface layer has a relief with patterns, comprised of local variations in its surface level. Relief have a regularity in average pitch with a variation which is not more than 10% higher or lower than the value of said average pitch. Invention also concerns a method of manufacturing a heating article and comprises providing a substrate, comprising two opposite faces. Next step is producing a heat-stable coating, comprising forming, on at least one side of the substrate of at least one base layer, comprising at least one heat-stable binder. Then the method suggests forming, on whole base layer or part of the base layer of a microstructured surface layer, comprising partly or completely a heat-stable binder of the base layer. Step of forming microstructured layer comprises jet printing by projection position determined microdroplets of a dispersion of a structuring material in a solvent. Printing is being performed with a micrometric printing pitch. Then, heat-stable coating is processed to sinter the binder of the base layer integrally to the binder of the microstructured layer, to increase stiffness of the whole system and form a relief with pattens, formed by local variations in heat-stable coating surface level.
EFFECT: possibility to structure directly (id est without transfer pattern, for example via a mask) and specifies a hydrophobic coating, applied on heating article without the subsequent processing.
